Solutions Consultants must understand business needs, identify solutions and translate those into presentation material that can be used to profile market leading solutions to prospective and current customers. The Solution consultant works at all levels of a business, understanding tactical and strategic business and technology requirements before creating a Solution that fits the Customers needs.
This is an exciting role that will work with many different customers and sales prospects.
Essential Tasks
Identifies and defines the prospect's business requirements, needs, and objectives, and creates a product demonstration that exemplifies how SAP solutions can best meet the prospect's requirements.
• Provides continuous correspondence with the business prospect to reinforce and sell the value of the SAP solution. Provides further clarification to the prospect through follow up phone calls and additional demonstrations.
• Works with colleagues to maintain and enhance demonstration systems; communicates with development to enhance product requirements and testing of new releases.
• Prepares and executes additional presentations for Trade shows, and other marketing events.
• Assists the Account Executive with RFP/requirements documents.
• Maintains one's own professional development and presentation skills; including continuous learning of new SAP products/technologies, and communicating experiences and solutions to fellow colleagues.
• Manages highly complex/visible pre-sales and/or post-sales support of SAP solutions,
products/systems. Provides technical support to large/complex sales presentations, product demonstrations.
Qualifications:
• Ten years of progressive IT experience designing enterprise systems with an emphasis on SAP /ERP applications
• 5+ years of experience in SAP functional roles including pre / post sales roles
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university; Master’s degree from an accredited college/university preferred
• SAP certification in one or more SAP core modules (e.g. A1, B1, FICO, SD, HCM, CRM or BI,
• Strong communications skills with the ability to interact with various levels in an organization
• Willingness to travel as needed
